Alright, first of all, if someone is doing something you don’t like for that character, why did you follow them in the first place?
I will admit, that sometimes a choice a person makes with a canon character can cause an uproar if they are doing something that is actually negative with that character, but, if it’s something like trying to do something to better that character’s life, than that isn’t a good reason to go out and say “RAWR! You are ruining teh awesome character and turning them into a faggot and a pussy!”
That, right there, is just lame. This is seen more in RP Blogs for canon characters, but, telling someone how to write a character, especially if that character isn’t yours, or you are barely familiar with, is rude, and very cold.Though it is rare, OC characters can get this treatment. There was a fanfic somewhere where a reader constantly badmouthed the author, and went as far as telling them how to write the author’s own character they created as if the author didn’t know what they were doing. I’m not sure if anyone with an OC blog has had that happen to them, but, that is the lowest of low.
Anyway, what I’m saying is, if you dislike how a person is RPing a character, either don’t follow, or Rp that character yourself.
